Neymar has expressed disappointment at not being able to feature in Paris Saint Germain first game of the season.
The former Barcelona star was unveiled to the fans shortly before the PSG game against newly promoted Amiens as they kept chanting his name.
Neymar, who was allowed to address a crowd of PSG supporters, declared his “disappointment” at not being able to play the match.
He said, “This is magical, magnificent, I want to thank the supporters.
“I am disappointed to be ineligible today, I really wanted to [play], so it will maybe be next week instead.
“In the dressing room? I am alongside Dani Alves and Thiago Silva, once again.
“I hope that we are going to have a great season together.”
Neymar then completed a lap of honour and ended by throwing his shirt to the crowd.
The Brazilian international left Barcelona for PSG in a record €222 million on Thursday.
